Topsham business HCT Turf has announced the winner of its recent campaign ‘Turf it Forward’.

Nominations for up to 150 square meters of locally grown turf were received from local schools, community sports clubs, charities and individuals.

These were considered in detail by Steff Dennis and Richard Hockley from HCT Turf, along with guest judge Sam Burdick from County Grounds Maintenance who will be assisting with the installation of the turf.

On the 26th of September, Greenhill Care Home in Devon proudly took part in the “World’s biggest Coffee Morning”, hosting a delightful event that brought together residents, relatives, and staff for a fantastic day of cake, coffee, and fundraising in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

There’s a fresh look and feel at Otter Garden Centres in Ottery St Mary, where a new, light-filled building is welcoming customers for the very first time.

Four rowers from three generations are preparing to take on the challenge of a lifetime this December — rowing across the Atlantic Ocean as part of the World’s Toughest Row.

Team “Give Us A Wave” will set off from La Gomera, in the Canary Islands and row 3,000 miles to Antigua in the Caribbean.

They will row in pairs, two hours on, two hours off for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, facing 40-foot waves, scorching heat, exhaustion, salt sores, isolation and total self-sufficiency at sea – all while on their boat Oardrey which is just under nine metres long.
