Due to the adverse weather conditions that are forecast over the next few days, in the interests of health and safety, East Devon District Council has reluctantly taken the decision to postpone Honiton Gate to Plate

After taking advice from the Met Office and the emergency services, we have decided, with heavy hearts, to postpone the Honiton Gate to Plate event this coming Saturday 10 August.

The event was due to be held along the High Street in the town with around 50 food, drink and craft producers setting up gazebos and tents to cover their stalls from early Saturday...

A new planning application for a railway station at Marsh Barton will be submitted at the start of 2020, Devon County Council has announced. Changes to design standards led to rising costs and an unsuccessful bid to the Department for Transport's New Stations Fund left a funding shortfall which delayed the project. As a result, Devon County Council has taken the opportunity to re-think the design of the access to the station.

Stagecoach South West is pledging their support for Pride in Plymouth on August 10 by sponsoring Pride’s Elmer, which will appear along the Pride in Plymouth parade route.

Staring at seagulls makes them less likely to steal your food, new research shows.

University of Exeter researchers put a bag of chips on the ground and tested how long it took herring gulls to approach when a human was watching them, compared to when the human looked away.

On average, gulls took 21 seconds longer to approach the food with a human staring at them.
