Exeter Chiefs have bolstered their squad with the signing of Argentinian prop Enrique Pieretto until the end of the season.

Chiefs’ Director of Rugby, Rob Baxter, has moved swiftly to capture the 24-year-old forward following injuries to fellow tight-heads Tomas Francis and Greg Holmes.

Francis suffered a serious shoulder injury during Wales’ Rugby World Cup semi-final against South Africa in Japan and is now likely to be sidelined for up to four months following surgery.

County Council seeking views on 5G as part of spotlight review

People across Devon are being asked for their views on 5G, as Devon County Council launches a “call for evidence” on the technology.

The County Council’s Corporate Infrastructure and Regulatory Services Scrutiny Committee is investigating 5G as part of a spotlight review.

Although the County Council has no current plans to make use of 5G in its ICT and is not involved with planning applications for mobile infrastructure, it is running an investigation in response to local concern and wants to hear from people to help inform its findings.

New data has revealed that when it comes to a life or death situation involving a child, 77% of UK parents of babies and toddlers, aged 0-5 years old, are not trained to give the lifesaving action required.

The survey conducted by Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries Group asked 1100 parents of children under five questions regarding their knowledge on child safety, with the results revealing over half do not know how to do CPR on a child and 1 in 10 do not know what to do if their child was choking.
