Six talented trainees are continuing their career journeys, having successfully completed their training to become newly qualified solicitors at Devon-based law firm Stephens Scown LLP.

The group of newly qualified solicitors has joined a number of teams across the firm, having trained for two years. Each trainee has spent time with three teams during their traineeship, covering a wide range of civil law services.

Every Spring and Autumn Freemasons from all around Devon meet to support local organisations and charities who are require financial assistance, amongst those included are Schools, Youth Centres and locally based charities including Hospices, Hospital Services and Cancer Charities.

Stagecoach South West have released their Christmas and New Year bus schedule detailing services over the holiday season.

To coincide with the start of late night shopping in Exeter, Stagecoach South West will be offering a '5 for a fiver' ticket, allowing five people to enjoy return travel on the Honiton Road Park and Ride for just £5 on Thursdays. Some of the latest innovations to help people live independently in their own homes will be showcased at a special event in Exeter this week (w/c 25 November).

Devon County Council and its NHS partners, in partnership with HFT (a national charity supporting adults with learning disabilities), is inviting people to the “Smarthouse” event in Exeter tomorrow (Tuesday 26 November), Wednesday 27 November and Thursday 28 November.

Planned closure of Old Rydon Lane in Exeter

A section of Old Rydon Lane in Exeter will be closed for five days next month while work is carried out to introduce a new cycle lane.

From Monday 9 December to Friday 13 December, Old Rydon Lane will be closed from Oaklea to the rear access of Sandy Park to enable the development of a one-way, contra-flow cycle lane.

NINETEEN teenagers have been recognised for their dedicated hard work and efforts towards conserving Dartmoor National Park, learning new skills and growing their self-awareness.
