This Friday [6th September], The Range at Alphington will officially open its newly transformed in-store café - Café Eighty Nine . Aptly named after the year the retailer first began trading, bosses at The Range say it will feature a fresh ‘continental style’ interior scheme offering customers a ‘village green’ meeting space with delicious cooked to order food, and premium barista made hot drinks.

The Police and Crime Commissioner national lead for tackling Serious and Organised Crime has urged parents and guardians to be extra vigilant after trading standards officers seized thousands of vapes containing highly toxic drugs.

Illegal vapes were being sold in shops and on social media or on the street, with the trade linked to organised crime groups, trading standards officers said.

Flocks of visitors will soon be joined by flocks of birds enjoying the water and riverbanks of the Exe Estuary.

This annual event means that from 15 September to 31 December, the Exmouth Wildlife Refuge becomes active, marked with signage and yellow “WR” buoys.
