Iconic toy brand returns to Exeter

TGJones, the nation’s favourite retailer of books, stationery, gifts, newspapers, and magazines, has announced the opening of a further six Toys“R” Us designated shop-in-shops in six of its stores before the end of February. 

The move will see the world-famous Toys“R”Us brand open in the TGJones store in Exeter, at the Guildhall Shopping Centre on Saturday 28 February. This new space will feature children’s toys and accessories from well-known brands including LEGO, Pokémon, Hot Wheels Barbie, Marvel, Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, Squishmallows, Star Wars, and more.

Nicola Barnes the TGJones cluster manager said: “We're delighted to bring the magic of Toys“R”Us magic to Exeter.

"This new shop in shop will be filled with some of the UK’s favourite toy brands, giving more convenience for our customers who have always loved toy shopping from Toys“R”Us."

The Toys“R”Us brand’s legendary Christmas advertising jingle reached iconic status in the UK by the 1990’s and this new opening will see their most famous character, Geoffrey the Giraffe, featured in new ranges of stationery and toys in the TGJones Exeter store.

The news comes as convenience-seeking consumers look to shop, post, and bank within a single space. TGJones has responded to changing shopping habits by successfully launching its Hub of the High Street concept store in Leeds late last year. The Leeds store also includes a Post Office and boasts ranges from some of the UK’s most recognised brands, including craft retailer Hobbycraft and greeting cards company Scribbler, with stock carefully curated by buyers to ensure the right mix of trend leading products for every store.
