Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital achieves prestigious JAG accreditation for high-quality in endoscopy care
Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital has achieved the prestigious Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accreditation, recognising its excellence in gastrointestinal endoscopy services and commitment to delivering outstanding quality care.
JAG accreditation, a national benchmark awarded by the Royal College of Physicians, assesses endoscopy services for their clinical quality, patient care, workforce, and training. It provides assurance that patients undergoing procedures to diagnose and treat conditions of the stomach, bowel, oesophagus, and rectum receive care that meets the highest standards of quality, safety and consistency.
The Royal College of Physicians team that awarded the accreditation highlighted several areas of excellence. The team found that patients felt well-cared for, with a patient focussed clinical team who are clearly committed to delivering high-quality care. The [insert hospital name] team was also congratulated for ensuring a clean and efficiently run environment.
The hospital serves both NHS and private patients across Devon, and follows their recent achievement of being given the National Joint Registry Gold Award for its commitment to high-quality care and patient safety in orthopedic care.
Welcoming the new accreditation, Patricia Warwick, Hospital Director at Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital, said: "Being recognised by JAG is a proud moment for our hospital and is testament to the dedication and expertise of our entire team. Every member of staff – doctors, nurses and other clinical staff, through to cleaners and administrators - plays a vital role in ensuring patients receive safe, personalised care.
“This achievement for our endoscopy services reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional care to every patient who walks through our doors. We’re excited to build on this success and continue investing in services that make a real difference."
