Exeter councillor Alison Sheridan joins reform UK
Reform UK have today [10 December] welcomed Exeter City Council councillor Alison Sheridan to the party from the Conservatives.
Cllr Sheridan, who represents the St Loyes ward on the council, joins Mincinglake & Whipton councillor Tony Payne as Reform UK’s second representative on the authority, giving the party an official group on Exeter City Council for the first time.
Alison is a former video editor and now full-time mother and has lived in the area for around 12 years.
Commenting following her defection, Cllr Alison Sheridan said:
“I am joining Reform UK as we need clear decisive action on a host of major issues particularly illegal immigration which places pressure on communities and erodes our identity as a nation.
"I will continue to voice the common sense concerns of residents just as I did to achieve the removal of the loathed LTN from our City.
"I believe that Reform UK is the answer that both Exeter and our country need.
Welcoming Cllr Sheridan, a Reform UK spokesman said:
“We are delighted to welcome Alison to Reform UK. She is an excellent addition to our growing team in Exeter as we build towards the next general election.”
