New head office and boss for leading UK telecare provider

Leading UK telecare provider PPP Taking Care has today (3 April) announced the opening of a third telecare centre in Exeter, supporting its existing centres in Ashburton and Chichester.

The new office takes PPP Taking Care up to three UK centres providing unbroken, 24/7 lifesaving emergency support to its members.  The nature of the 24/7 service that telecare offers to members means that it is vital it continues to function even during power cuts and adverse weather events. Multiple centres provide further certainty to members.

Richard Turner, who has led the business from inception through the acquisition of Age UK’s telecare centre in 2016 and the merger with Chichester Careline’s service earlier this month, will be stepping down as Managing Director to be replaced by Steve Gates from 1st April.

Steve Gates is an experienced MD who led Denplan for 15 years, occupying a position in the Sunday Times “Best Companies to Work For” award for ten straight years.

Richard will stay on to support a smooth handover with his successor. Steve says:

“I’m genuinely excited to be joining the PPP Taking Care team at this time. I’m looking forward to building on the strong foundations and delivering even more growth. We’re innovating to meet the needs of our customers, in a market that’s only going to grow.  I’m keen that we become a real market-leader, to help serve even more customers.”
