Police have released a new CCTV image showing the last known sighting of Magdalena Krawiec, the missing 20-year-old Polish woman.

The picture shows a woman walking along Marine Drive near the Redcliffe Hotel in Paignton in the direction of Torquay on Monday 13 May at 8.17pm (it was previously reported that the last sighting had been on Tuesday 14 May). The woman in the photo has been confirmed as being Magdalena.

Police are appealing for any information or sightings of Magdalena after 8.17pm on Monday 13 May.

Police are also appealing for any premises within the Paignton area with CCTV, private or commercial, to ensure that any footage held between the hours of 6pm on Monday 13 May to 1am on Tuesday 14 May 2013 is retained, copied and made available to police.

Police are handing out posters in English and Polish in the local area to appeal for information and reassure the Polish community.

A police spokesperson said: "Police are aware members of the Polish community are feeling concerned for their safety following the appeal about Magdalena. We want to assure the Polish community we are doing everything we can to find her. Police are pursuing every possible line of enquiry and have allocated a substantial amount of resources to the ongoing investigation."

The police investigation, named Operation Seeker, has intensified as concern has grown for Ms Krawiec's wheareabouts.

Ms Krawiec is new to the area having only arrived in the UK on Sunday 12 May. Police and family members grew increasingly concerned for her welfare after she failed to turn up for work last week.

Magdalena is described as 5ft 10, white European, of slim build with short brown hair. She was last seen wearing grey, tight-fitting jeans or leggings, a black top and a black leather or PVC coat. She was also carrying a shoulder bag, which may have been green, and was wearing black shoes and white socks.

Anyone who sees her or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call police on 101, quoting log 232 of 15 May 2013.
