Every nominee will receive a free ticket to Exeter Racecourse, and one overall winner will be treated to a Family...

Chiefs do themselves proud

In the end it wasn’t quite to be for Exeter Chiefs, but boy did Rob Baxter’s troops give it one hell of a go in their final Aviva Premiership battle of the season.

With results in Leicester and Oxford ultimately transpiring against them, Devon’s finest just missed out in the final shake-up as the Tigers and Saracens joined Northampton Saints and Bath in next week’s play-off semi-finals.

In truth, the Chiefs could have done no more, seven tries on the day courtesy of Ian Whitten, Jack Nowell, Ben White, Matt Jess (2), Henry Slade and Byron McGuigan were the highlights as...

Chiefs v Sale match a sell-out

Tomorrow's Aviva Premiership encounter between Exeter Chiefs and Sale Sharks is a complete sell-out.

A crowd of over 12,600 is expected to pack into Sandy Park for the final home fixture of the season.

With Rob Baxter's side firmly in the hunt to grab one of the two remaining play-off spots, demand for tickets has gone through the roof with supporters desperate to be part of the match-day crowd.

It will mark the seventh time this season that Sandy Park has welcome a crowd in excess of 10,000 supporters.

The stadium itself will be open from 12:30pm with...

Baxter hails Salvi arrival

For the second time this season, Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter has raided Aviva Premiership rivals Leicester Tigers for one of their prized assets.

Having already recruited England and British Lions lock Geoff Parling for next season, Baxter has moved swiftly to add the name of club-mate Julian Salvi to the Sandy Park roster for the next two years.

Widely regarded as one of the most destructive forwards in European rugby, Salvi’s arrival in the Westcountry is yet another telling addition to what is looking a formidable Chiefs squad for the 2015/16 season.

Another Tiger to become a Chief

New signing Julian Salvi hopes he can play a key role in helping the Exeter Chiefs continue their rise within English and European rugby.

The all-action flanker is Rob Baxter’s latest addition to the Devon club’s playing ranks, joining from Aviva Premiership rivals Leicester Tigers on a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old Australian has spent the past four years at Welford Road and has established himself as one of Premiership rugby’s most effective loose forwards. With 112 appearances to his name and 11 tries in the bag, it’s fair to say he’s played a pivotal role for the...

Rob Baxter insists he and his Exeter Chiefs can ill afford to be distracted by events elsewhere in the Aviva Premiership today (Saturday) and instead focus their sole attentions on the visit of Sale Sharks to a sold-out Sandy Park (3:30pm)

With just one round of the scheduled season left to play, the Chiefs currently find themselves in unchartered waters, fourth in the standings and occupying the final play-off berth.

It's due reward for what has been a fantastic season for the Devon club, who have also notched up a second successive LV= Cup Final appearance, as well as a...

Dean Mumm insists he will have plenty of happy memories to take home to Australia once he brings the curtain down on his Exeter Chiefs career in the not too distant future.

After three seasons in Devon, the 31-year-old is set to run out for one final time at Sandy Park this weekend as the Chiefs prepare to welcome Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership.

A sell-out crowd will roar Mumm and his team-mates into battle this Saturday, but Exeter’s inspirational skipper doesn’t want his Westcountry experience to end just yet.

Instead, the 33-time capped Wallabies...
