Exeter Racecourse partners with ELF to launch Festive Gifting Programme

Exeter Racecourse is delighted to announce a new partnership with The Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) for ELF Raceday, taking place on Friday 5th December 2025.

Through this collaboration, ELF and Exeter Racecourse will launch a special gifting programme aimed at bringing joy to children and families supported by the charity during the Festive season.

Golf tournament raises £4k for SW Multiple Sclerosis Centre

More than £4,000 was raised at a charity golf day held in aid of South West Multiple Sclerosis Centre.

The event, sponsored by Thomas Westcott Chartered Accountants and Thomas Westcott Business Recovery, saw 22 teams of four, made up of professional contacts and clients, battle it out at Teignmouth Golf Club.

In all £4,100 was raised through a combination of entry fees, fun golf-themed events, raffles and an auction.

As in previous years all the money was donated to the South West MS Centre in Clyst Heath, Exeter.

Four-time Olympian runner and European 10,000 metre champion Jo Pavey delighted crowds in Exeter on Sunday morning, as she started 2,842 participants off on the iconic 31st Exeter’s Great West Run, sponsored by Tozers! Until 2nd November, AEG is giving Rugby Club Youth Sections (Junior and Mini teams) in England, Scotland and Wales the chance to win one of twenty sets of Canterbury kit (shirts, socks, water bottles and boot bags) as well as 20 Canterbury balls and 2 ball bags for their club.

The legendary racehorse Best Mate will be remembered at Exeter Racecourse next Tuesday when a beginners’ chase is staged in his name.

His owner Jim Lewis will make his annual pilgrimage to the course to present the prize to the winning owners of the race and to lay a wreath in his memory.
