A lively atmosphere and plenty of laughter set the tone as guests gathered for a fun-filled event. Sam Binney, visiting from Southampton on a hen do, was announced as the winner.

“This is really unexpected, and I’m actually quite shocked, if I’m honest. I was really worried about today, but I think it’s worked out well. I’m really excited,” she said.

Second place went to Jodie Hart, from Whiddon Down, while...

Pellow's joy as Braves advance into final

Ricky Pellow said he could not have asked for anything more from his Exeter Braves side as they powered their way into this season’s Aviva Premiership A League final.

In a rampant display at Sandy Park, the Braves ran in eight tries to swot aside the attentions of visiting Newcastle Falcons 48-15.

International duo Chrysander Botha (3) and Michele Campagnaro (2) led the way for the Devonians, whose other touchdowns came courtesy of Ben White, Elvis Taione and Byron McGuigan, as well as four conversions from the boot of fly-half Will Hooley.

Grecians' play-off hopes end at Memorial Stadium

GOALS from Billy Bodin, Lee Brown and Sky Bet League 2 top-scorer Matty Taylor consigned Exeter City to a second defeat of the week at the Memorial Stadium, ending the Grecians' hopes of a play-off finish.

City had an uphill battle in the second period after conceding goals at either end of the first half, but they came out flying after the interval with Jake Taylor scoring within seconds of the restart. In the end though the Grecians couldn’t quite mount a comeback, as Taylor’s twenty-eighth goal of the campaign wrapped up...

Scotsman Moray Low says it was an 'easy decision' for him to agree terms on a new deal with Aviva Premiership side Exeter Chiefs.

With his initial two-year stay set to expire this summer, the former Glasgow Warriors prop has put pen to paper on a similar deal, tying him to Sandy Park until 2018 at least.

Low’s decision to remain in Devon is yet another timely boost for Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter, who has wasted little time in tying down new contracts for a number of his current squad, as well as adding a fresh sprinkling of new faces for next season.

Low’s decision to stay at Sandy Park is yet another welcome boost for head coach Rob Baxter, who has tied down the majority of his current first team squad to extended deals.

Baxter said: “I think Moray has done well for us in his first two seasons here and is looking...

Play-off hopes take a blow as Mansfield ruin City comeback

DESPITE A TREMENDOUS second-half fightback, Exeter City were beaten by Mansfield Town at St James Park, leaving their play-off push looking a very steep task with three games left.

Ryan Tafazolli gave the visitors the lead before Malvind Benning doubled it in style, leaving City looking down and out. But they looked to have salvaged a point after Ollie Watkins and Christian Ribeiro (another screamer) drew them level. They were on terms for just three minutes, however; Tafazolli volleyed the winner with eight minutes...
