As the PWR Cup semi-final approaches, Exeter Chiefs Women prepare to face a Saracens Women side strengthened by the return of Donna Rose. Her return brings valuable experience and depth to the Saracens’ squad, presenting a fresh challenge for Exeter Chiefs as they aim to defend their title.

The addition of such a high-calibre player is bound to influence the dynamics of this crucial...

Exeter Chiefs Director of Rugby Rob Baxter says he is "excited" what Santiago Cordero can bring after he today agreed a contract with the Devon club until the end of the season. The 24-year-old, who can play either wing or full-back, arrives at Sandy Park with 33 caps and 11...

Worcester Warriors 31 Exeter Chiefs 21

Exeter’s hopes of advancing in this season’s Anglo-Welsh Cup were dealt a potentially fatal blow as Worcester Warriors took the spoils in a high-scoring encounter at Sixways.

Ricky Pellow’s Chiefs outfit started the day top of the pile in Pool Two, but this five-try loss, coupled with Harlequins easily defeating Scarlets, means qualification hopes are now out of their hands.

A bonus point victory at home to Saracens is imperative next week, but even then that may not be enough as it would require Quins’ needing to slip up against Northampton Saints in their final pool...

Chiefs side to face Worcester Warriors

Ricky Pellow says a big fortnight lies ahead for his Exeter Chiefs side as they prepare to resume battle in this season’s Anglo-Welsh Cup.

Having already dispatched Northampton Saints (43-28) and Scarlets (40-0) in the opening two rounds, the Chiefs head to Worcester Warriors tomorrow (3pm) looking to maintain their impressive winning formula in the competition, whilst at the same time keeping rivals Harlequins and Sale Sharks firmly at bay.

With the battle for a place in the last four set to intensity over the next two weeks, Cornishman Pellow knows his side can ill afford...

Rob Baxter says he is expecting both Sam Hill and James Short to get even better over the next two years after the duo both agreed terms on new deals with the Exeter Chiefs.

The talented backs are the latest squad members to commit their futures to the reigning Aviva Premiership champions, following in the stud marks of team-mates Greg Holmes, Mitch Lees, Gareth Steenson, Elvis Taione, Ian Whitten, Harry Williams and Jack Yeandle, who themselves have all penned new contracts this month.

Keen to ensure the player pool at Sandy Park remains largely untouched, Director of...

Ryan Loft joins City on loan until end of the season

Exeter City have signed forward Ryan Loft for Tottenham Hotspur. Ryan was born in Gravesend and played for both Dartford and Ebbsfleet United before linking up with Spurs Academy. He made his Football League debut for Stevenage after joining them on loan in January 2017. In total he made nine appearances for the Hertfordshire side in League Two last season in addition to playing 11 times for Spurs’ under-23 team where he scored in home matches against Liverpool and Reading. The season before Ryan netted 13 goals in 22 appearances for Tottenham’s under-18s team.

Four more Chiefs players agree new deals

The 28-year-old hooker, together with fellow front-row forwards Greg Holmes, Elvis Taione and Harry Williams, have become the latest squad members to commit their futures to the Chiefs.

Yeandle has signed a new three-year deal keeping him at Sandy Park until 2021, while international trio Holmes, Taione and Williams have all agreed two-year deals.

The confirmation of the quartet signing on comes in the same week as club-mates...

Exeter’s hopes of dining out with Europe’s elite in the latter stages of this season’s Champions Cup were sadly burnt to pieces in a crucial ten minute spell here at Scotstoun.

With little to choose between the Chiefs and hosts Glasgow Warriors at the break, it was the Scotsmen who prospered in the second period, claiming a first European win of the season, and with it extinguishing Exeter’s hopes of a last eight place.

A controversial yellow card against Chiefs scrum-half Nic White not only saw him banished from the action midway through the half, but the penalty try and...

Grecians seal important victory at Meadow Lane

Exeter City got back to winning ways away from home with a 2-1 win over Notts County at Meadow Lane in Sky Bet League Two.

An early strike from Jake Taylor and a smart finish from Jayden Stockley gave the Grecians a two-goal cushion at half-time, before Jon Stead pulled a goal back for the hosts with a second-half penalty.

Despite late pressure from the home side, City hung on and claimed an excellent three points on the road.

Paul Tisdale made just one change to the side that beat Coventry City last time out as...
