Prominent City Trustee Steps Down

Lewis Jones has announced his resignation from the Exeter City FC Trust Board, due to continuing health difficulties and increased demands on his time.

Exeter “born and bred” and a lifetime supporter of the Club, Lewis joined the Trust Board in 2009. He took a leading role in developing the current strategic plan and has assisted in numerous projects during his four years on the Board.

Trust chairman, Laurence Overend, said : “Lewis would listen and consider before expressing his views. As a result his opinions and advice were always well thought out and based on a sound analysis of the issues. This measured approach, however, was founded on firm principles and a passion for the Trust model. I hope that he is able to continue to contribute to specific projects and offer us the benefit of his experience. Valued and respected by all members of the Board, we join in offering our sincere thanks for all his work and wish him the very best for the future.”
