On a day of brutal conditions with the wind getting up to 55mph, it was the early starters that had the best of the conditions. First out was Mat Baxter who returned a fine 37 points, that was only to be beaten by one other player, out of the 156 competitors, later that day.
Steve Sheldon won the Trophy with 37 points beating Baxter on the back 9.
A day of high scoring saw the CSS go up to 71 for the competition. The competition was also the qualifier for the DCGU Abraham Salver in which 2 players will represent Exeter GCC at Okehampton in June. Those players are George Robinson from the lower division and Steve Sheldon.
