Exeter's Two Tribes skittles team are currently defending their mixed team title in a tense finals of the Butcombe British Skittles championships being held in Torquay.

The team who play out of St Thomas Social Club showed impressive form in the play off stages and are tipped to do well again.

But two popular teams, Heavitree Heroes who were mixed team runners up last year failed to qualify this time. Meanwhile the Sinners, women's champions in 2008 and 2011, are not competing this year.

So it's all down to Two Tribes mixed and men's teams, along with men's teams the Saints, the All stars and the Loungers to fly the flag for East Devon.

The competition finishes tonight when the winning teams will receive their trophies, medals and Buncombe beer in a glittering ceremony at Torquay's Riviera International Conference Centre.
