Friday evening (28th April) saw the 3rd Kirk Hills Omelette Challenge take place at Exeter Castle as part of the Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink.

12 business people from in and around Exeter were invited to rise to the challenge and endeavour to make the fastest omelette in the South West.

The challenge commenced following a demonstration by Michael Caines MBE in a time of 28 seconds.  Compered by Paul Nero from Radio Exe this fiercely contested battle saw sibling rivalry between Kirk Hill’s very own Rachel Churchill and Sarah Chamberlain and the disqualification of Jonathan Wadsworth from Beckworth for presenting more on the tablecloth than on the plate!

In the final egg-off, Michael Caines meticulously judged Jim Dart from Darts Farm and Kirk Hills partner Sarah Chamberlain as they battled it out with Jim pipping Sarah to the post by .7 of a second in a winning time of 28.3 seconds.

Over 100 guests attended the event hosted by Kirk Hills Chartered Accountants.
