Guitar indie-pop band Pale Waves and Mercury-nominated The Big Moon are the latest acts heading to the south Devon countryside for the county’s biggest music event this summer.

The theme for this year’s all-female Twilight Walk on Saturday is “Back To The '80s”. And one group of Girls (who) Just Wanna Have Fun will be the assorted group of vets and administrative staff from Corner House Vets in Exmouth. Work begins on new £2m Community Hub

Construction is about to begin on a brand new Community Hub for Topsham, one of the area’s most important buildings of recent years - and the organisation behind it is seeking volunteers to help champion its work and plan how it will develop.

The new hub, being built on the site of the former ‘pre-fab’ Topsham library, aims to be the pride of the local community.

Pedestrian seriously hurt in collision with cyclist

At around 7.50am on Saturday 29 April 2017 a police patrol came across a serious collision involving a cyclist and a pedestrian on Calthorpe Road, Exeter near the junction with Alberta Crescent in the Whipton area of Exeter.

The cyclist was travelling up Calthorpe Road towards Prince Charles Road and collided with a pedestrian crossing the road.

As a result of the collision, the cyclist suffered minor injuries and the pedestrian suffered a serious head injury and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital. The pedestrian’s injuries were initially thought to be life changing....

The final day of the Exeter Food Festival saw thousands of foodies take over Northernhay Gardens and the Exeter Castle for Bank Holiday Monday.
