Historic double squash win for EGCC

Exeter Golf and Country Club has been crowned regional squash champions in a historic double win at the end of an unbeaten squash season, winning both the Premier League and the Devon Cup with record-breaking points.

After winning the Premier League earlier this month, Exeter Golf and Country Club’s 1st Men’s Team went on to smash the double by beating Fort Stamford at the Devon Cup Final. The high standard of diabetes care provided to inpatients at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital has continued to improve according to the latest results of the National Inpatient Diabetes Audit (NADIA).

Improvements to the A379 Sandy Park Junction in Exeter have been completed ahead of schedule. The junction has been upgraded from a ‘left-in, left-out’ system to a signalised junction that now also allows right turns in and out of the site. The £2.5 million scheme improves access to Sandy Park rugby ground and David Lloyd leisure centre as well as planned developments in the Newcourt area of the city.
