Alanis Morissette joined by Pale Waves and The Big Moon for Devon date

Guitar indie-pop band Pale Waves and Mercury-nominated The Big Moon are the latest acts heading to the south Devon countryside for the county’s biggest music event this summer.

The bands are joining the line-up for seven-time GRAMMY Award winning Canadian / American artist Alanis Morissette’s headline show with special guest musical powerhouse Skunk Anansie at TK Maxx presents Live At Powderham on Friday June 26.

The Devon date is the first of just seven shows Morissette is playing in the UK this year and comes on the heels of her most acclaimed UK shows ever last summer, with a sold-out night at the O2 Arena and a career-defining set at her first ever Glastonbury appearance.

A new two-day pass, for Teddy Swims on Thursday June 25 and Alanis Morissette has also now been launched – allowing fans to make the most of TK Maxx presents Live At Powderham.

Final tickets – including the two-show pass – are available now via liveatpowderham.com

Pale Waves are a guitar-pop force. Emerging in 2018 with 80s-tinted indie/synth-pop debut album My Mind Makes Noises, they levelled up into pop-punk bite on Who Am I? in 2021, and Unwanted in 2022, before pivoting back to shimmering, melodic jangle-pop on 2024’s Smitten.

Across 500-plus shows, the band has built a fierce international audience, from festival main stages including Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, and Reading and Leeds, to multiple headline runs in North America, Europe, Japan and Australia.

Already this year, they have opened for Louis Tomlinson on his 26-date arena tour and have been announced for Yungblud’s Bludfest 2026 in Czechia.

Opening the night in Devon will be alt-pop four-piece The Big Moon. Formed in 2014 by lead singer Juliette Jackson, guitarist Soph Nathan, bassist Celia Archer and drummer Fern Ford, The Big Moon are one of the UK’s most widely respected and original bands.

Their debut album Love in the 4th Dimension was shortlisted for the prestigious Mercury Prize in 2017. They followed their breakthrough with Walking Like We Do (2020) and 2022’s Here Is Everything, which became their first UK Top 10 album, and featured the singles Wide Eyes, Trouble and This Love.

TK Maxx presents Live at Powderham runs for four nights from Thursday June 25 to Sunday June 28, and also features headline shows from vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims and global superstar Lewis Capaldi.

Taking place at Powderham Castle estate, near Exeter, TK Maxx presents Live At Powderham is organised by Live Nation promoters Cuffe and Taylor, known for curating world-class events in unique locations.

Cuffe and Taylor co-founder Peter Taylor said: “We cannot wait to welcome Alanis Morissette to the Devon countryside – and adding Pale Waves and The Big Moon to the line-up, alongside Skunk Anansie means this will be an incredible night of powerful female-fronted music.

“It is going to be an absolutely unmissable night in an unmissable weekend of huge artists in a stunning setting. Do not miss out!”
