Exeter Science Park’s Chief Executive, Dr Sally Basker, has announced her decision to retire from full-time work in June 2026.

This will promote a smooth transition and stability following the recent appointment of Dr Eulian Roberts as the new Chair of Exeter Science Park .

After a year full of challenges, students from South Devon University Technical College (UTC) are celebrating today after receiving impressive A Level and Diploma results.

Newton Abbot’s pioneering technical college opened its doors from 8:30am this morning for the scientists and engineers of the future to collect their exam results. Organisations can apply to Postcode Neighbourhood Trust for grants between £500 and £20,000 from now until Wednesday 19th August, when applications will close.

The funding boost is available thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery .

Local charities and good causes impacted by COVID-19 are being urged to apply for up to £20,000 in funding.

Groups looking to increase their resilience, adapt or expand their services as a result of the pandemic should apply. Funding will support a variety of activities, including covering core costs.

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) is reminding people only to call 999 in a medical emergency when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk. BBC Children in Need has announced that it has awarded a new grant totalling £29,970 to a local project working with disadvantaged children and young people in Exeter.
