Cranbrook to Host First eat:Festival Food and Drink Event

eat:Festivals will be hosting a food and drink festival in Cranbrook on Sunday 13 September 2026.

The festival will be happening in the heart of the town, on and surrounding the Tillhouse Road. eat:Festivals are a small social enterprise who have been delivering one day food and drink festivals in towns across the south-west for over 13 years. Residents at Millbrook retirement village, in Exeter, have handed over 66 knitted teddies to Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service as part of the trauma teddy initiative.

Trauma teddies are provided to children involved in incidents to help provide comfort during upsetting situations.

A bright green apple appeared in Gandy Street when Exeter independent business The Recycled Candle Company’s latest award arrived at the shop.

The company scooped the award in these greenest of green awards, competing against 500 other entries to win the Sustainable Development category.

The McCarthy Stone Foundation has provided a welcome boost ahead of the Christmas period for local Topsham charity, the Estuary League of Friends, to help support those living with memory loss or dementia and their carers.
