Cranbrook to Host First eat:Festival Food and Drink Event

eat:Festivals will be hosting a food and drink festival in Cranbrook on Sunday 13 September 2026.

The festival will be happening in the heart of the town, on and surrounding the Tillhouse Road. eat:Festivals are a small social enterprise who have been delivering one day food and drink festivals in towns across the south-west for over 13 years. It’s the third year in a row that the Ottery St Mary garden centre has raised funds for Hospiscare, in what has turned out to be an epic success with the 2021 fundraising total topping £14,700!

Topsham local, Paula, is celebrating after being selected as the winner of McCarthy Stone recent photography competition.

Launch of Devon’s £9.3m Community Renewal Fund programme

Team Devon partners are embarking on the UK’s largest Community Renewal Fund programme.

Devon County Council’s successful bid on behalf of the Team Devon partnership to the Community Renewal Fund was announced by the Government in late November, with the £9.3 million funding allocation the largest in the UK for a single area.

The investment will support 13 innovative projects over the next six months, including a range of employment and training, environmental and community investment across Devon through to mid-2022.

Tesco brings £300k New Year cheer for Devon community groups

Tesco is bringing a positive start to Devon communities’ year by launching a campaign to give good causes part of a £300,000 boost.

From 17 January to 6 February, Devon listeners to Heart and Smooth radio stations who work with charities or not-for-profit organisations will be encouraged to apply for a £5,000 cash grant.

Priority will be given to projects that provide food and support to young people, such as school breakfast clubs, food banks, or charities supporting young people to manage mental health.
