KLM to launch daily flights from Exeter to Amsterdam

Global airline, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, is set to connect the West Country to Amsterdam and beyond with the launch of its first ever flights from Exeter Airport to the international aviation hub of Schiphol from end of March next year.

It is the first time Exeter Airport has served Amsterdam in almost five years, and a first for KLM from the Devon airport as it seeks to expand its UK regional footprint.

The move links Exeter Airport with KLM's network of worldwide destinations via Amsterdam.

The British Gas Energy Trust has published its 2024 Impact Report, marking two decades of dedicated efforts to alleviate the detrimental impacts of poverty with a focus on fuel poverty across the UK.

Last week (25 November – 1 December 2024) police forces across the country took part in a week of intensified activity to detect and disrupt County Lines activity which brings violence and exploitation to the south west. County Lines is the term used to describe drug dealing where mobile phones are used to supply drugs, typically from large cities to towns and rural areas. County Lines are run by ‘Line Holders’ and the runners, often vulnerable people, deliver the drugs. The runners are often children being exploited and may possess knives or other weapons.

A plan to develop the UK’s first wetsuit recycling facility is among eight new projects funded by Future Fibres Network Plus .
