Team FORCE smash it at the 2026 Great West Run

Team FORCE has again pulled out all the stops at this year’s Great West Run.

Nearly 450 people ran either the half marathon or 10K around the streets of Exeter and beyond in Sunday’s sweltering heat to support FORCE Cancer Charity.

Between them they have raised more than £135,000 so far, which will support local people dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

Chloe Richardson, event fundraiser for FORCE, said: “It was a great day and we are astounded by the support and love for FORCE from our runners.

Hospiscare's Garden of Light

The local hospice for Exeter, central and east Devon is inviting the community to remember loved ones by dedicating a white rose light this November.

Hundreds of shining roses will transform the grounds of Darts Farm, paying tribute to loved ones who are no longer with us.

Band successful summer season

East Devon DayTime Band enjoyed a successful 2025 summer season.

The band performed at 10 venues throughout East Devon and Exeter, from a churchyard to a vineyard, including local Care Homes, VE Day commemorations, retirement homes, parish church fetes, Otterton Mill and Ikea Exeter.

As the festive season approaches, Open Up , the official charity of Devon Partnership NHS Trust , is preparing its much-loved Christmas Hamper Project and is calling on people across the county to get involved.

Run in partnership with Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD), the project brings comfort, connection and festive cheer to young people in care and care leavers across Devon and Torbay.
