Guitar indie-pop band Pale Waves and Mercury-nominated The Big Moon are the latest acts heading to the south Devon countryside for the county’s biggest music event this summer.

University of Exeter researcher wins prestigious diabetes fellowship

A University of Exeter researcher has been awarded the prestigious Diabetes UK RD Lawrence Fellowship.

Dr Pia Leete was granted the competitive career development fellowship which comes with £525,000 in funding over the next five years. This fellowship, established in 1976 by Diabetes UK, supports the career development of outstanding postdoctoral researchers, enabling them establish independence in diabetes research.

DEVON residents are being urged to crack a ‘near impossible’ riddle about the county to earn the coveted title of ‘Devon’s Best Riddle Code Breaker’.

The Moorings, run by Mental Health Matters, is being expanded to offer additional hours of support.

The service provides free mental health support to anyone aged 18 and over from three locations in Barnstaple, Exeter, and Torquay.
