Live music fans are set for another celebration of amazing entertainment in the Devon countryside as TK Maxx presents Live At Powderham confirms its return for 2026.

Final consultation on Devon Minerals Plan

Residents in Devon are being invited to have their final say on future plans for quarrying in the county for the next 17 years.

The last public consultation for the new Devon Minerals Plan has been launched by Devon County Council this week.

The plan was developed following several rounds of consultation and informal engagement and examined by a Government inspector in May.

Devon and Cornwall Police’s latest domestic abuse campaign warns both residents and visitors to our region that domestic abuse doesn’t stop, even on holiday.

Incidences of domestic abuse increase during the summer months. While a holiday or break from work may offer respite to many, sadly this may not be the case for people in an abusive relationship.

Whether local or from outside the region, Devon and Cornwall police are encouraging those suffering from abuse to seek help, either directly from police or from one of the regional support agencies.

Police find body in search for teenager

Officers searching for Nathan Wood, who went missing in Totnes on Friday 5 August, have found a body in the River Dart.

The body was discovered by police divers at around 12pm on Sunday 7 August.

Formal identification has not yet taken place but Nathan’s family have been informed.

Detectives from Totnes CID will carry out a full investigation into the circumstances of the teenager’s death and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

Chudleigh Town Council has submitted an application for their whole Parish to be designated as a Neighbourhood Area with a view to producing a Neighbourhood Plan.

Local people who live and work in and around Chudleigh are being invited to comment on the application to create a Neighbourhood Plan area for Chudleigh.

Exeter School pupils, parents and staff are enjoying visiting the Rainbow Rhino at Exeter’s Northcott Theatre.

BBC Radio Devon is celebrating after attracting more listeners to the station.

Despite a blip following a major shake up of presenters the audience has significantly bounced back.

Police are appealing for information about a missing teenage boy who was last seen near the River Dart in Totnes.

Officers have been searching for 16-year-old Nathan Wood, from the Paignton area, after he went missing while out with a group of female friends on Friday 5 August.

Nathan was last seen in the Swallowfields area of Totnes, at the Dartington Hall end of the River Dart and the back of King Edward the Sixth Community College, at around 6pm.

Cupcake day raises money for dementia garden

Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust (NDHT) staff on Budlake Ward at Exeter Community Hospital recently held a cupcake day tea party for patients and visitors, to raise money towards a dementia garden at the hospital.
