More than 3,000 women took part in the Race For Life at Westpoint in Exeter on Sunday.

Mums, sisters, grannies and children joined in the fun, raising thousands of pounds for Cancer Research at the same time.

Race for Life is the UK’s biggest fight against cancer and the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK.

Since Race for Life started in 1994, an incredible six million participants have raised over £493million, more than any other UK event series raising money to fund cancer research.

Children as young as four donned pink t-shirts and completed the circuit.

A spokesman said: We are incredibly grateful to the local women who turned out to make a positive difference to the lives of people touched by cancer."
