The Met Office is forecasting a day of sunshine and showers.

And it's not looking a lot better for the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Met Office five day forecast is as follows.

Today:
Another unsettled and showery day, with some of these showers heavy and potentially thundery. The best of limited sunny spells are expected in the east later in the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:
Showers becoming more isolated into the overnight period, with lengthier dry and clear periods developing for a time allowing temperatures to dip. Minimum Temperature 7 °C.

Saturday:
Early sunny intervals soon becoming fewer and further between as heavy, slow-moving and potentially thundery showers spread in from the east on light winds. Maximum Temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Outbreaks of rain on Sunday morning clearing to showers with sunny spells. Showers becoming less frequent through Monday and Tuesday. Winds generally staying light, with temperatures remaining around normal.
