A sound 12 months for Scrivens Hearing in Exeter

A well known Exeter hearing care centre, saved from closure 12 months ago, is celebrating its first anniversary in the city.

Scrivens Hearing on Queen Street was formerly Chime and the deputy lord mayor, Lucy Haigh, joined the branch for its ‘birthday’ event and to meet the team.  As part of the celebrations Cllr Haigh also supported the team’s charity cake sale, which was raising funds for Alzheimer’s Society.

She said: “I am delighted to have been invited to the anniversary event of Scrivens Hearing.  We know there is high demand for hearing services in our region, so it is great to see Scrivens, which has pioneered community based audiology services, continuing to invest in our high streets, such as Exeter.”

Under the new ownership, Scrivens is offering NHS and private appointments across 18 clinics a week, six days a week.

Resident hearing aid audiologist, Kay Saimbi, said: “We’ve been thrilled by the reception we’ve received in Exeter and wanted to mark the milestone. We’re looking forward to building on our presence here, offering hearing care that’s easy to access for the whole community.  From hearing aid dispensing to ear wax removal, our aim is to make sure people can get the support they need close to home.”
