Rehearsals for The Day We Played Brazil are now well underway and the talented community company are already bringing the amazing musical that tells Exeter City's epic story to life.

However, there is still a chance to get involved in this once in a lifetime experience as a musical about football needs lots of young men. If you have been too shy to step forward or think you have missed the boat check out www.thedayweplayedbrazil.com to see what you are missing and e-mail weplayedbrazil@gmail.com to find out how you can get involved.

Cast member Jim Green said “The Day We Played Brazil has been an amazing experience so far - an engaging drama, a friendly company and rehearsals full of fun and laughter. Having not had much acting or singing experience before, I feel welcomed as an equal and totally supported within the group. Some of the blokes are football-types, some not - regardless the team spirit is definitely there!”

No stage experience is necessary to take part, nor do participants have to be football fanatics; all you need is enthusiasm. This is a great chance to work alongside a highly experienced creative team to present the play in the Exeter Northcott Theatre in July 2015.

Musicians are also needed to play in the band - if you play clarinet, flute, cello, keyboard or double bass please e-mail weplayedbrazil@gmail.com

The Day we Played Brazil will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the football match between Exeter City and the Brazil national team - the first-ever game played by Brazil.

The production itself will open immediately after the 2014 World Cup, which is being held in Brazil, and will run for two weeks at Exeter Northcott Theatre.
