Following the launch of RGB Building Supplies Community Fund, when £1,000 worth of building materials was given to a charity last month, the builders merchant is now calling for sports clubs in the Exeter area to get in contact and tell them what help they need.

Perhaps a local football team needs their changing rooms decorated, or a cricket club needs help with some fencing, or possibly the facilities used by a local martial arts club need updating, whatever the project, RGB would like to find out how £1,000 worth of materials could help.

Rob Allen, Operations Manager at RGB Building Supplies, said: “Following the launch of the Community Fund, we were inundated with charities making contact and telling us about their projects.  It was extremely difficult to choose just one winner, and we are certain that it will be the same with sports clubs.  RGB has been based in the South West for 150 years, so the Community Fund is allowing us to give something back to the area that has been a big support to us.”

Sports clubs can nominate themselves by contacting RGB Building Supplies and explaining what project they need building materials for and how the support will be of benefit to them.  One sports club will then be chosen from all the nominations to receive £1,000 worth of materials.

Nominations can be made by emailing RGB@pmwcom.co.uk or by sending a letter to PMW Communications, RGB Community Fund, PO Box 167, Bideford, Devon, EX39 9DU.

The closing date for nominations is Monday 4 August.

The Community Fund will also be supporting schools, community groups and care homes, who will be asked to make contact with details about their projects in the future.
