The Eastern Locality of Northern, Eastern and Western Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is looking forward to seeing members of the public at its Board meeting on Wednesday 22 May 2013.

Dr David Jenner, chairman of the Eastern Locality, said he hoped people would come along to the Board meeting to find out about healthcare in their area and how they can get involved.

The Eastern Locality covers Exeter, Mid Devon, East Devon, and as far west as Okehampton and Moretonhampstead (but excluding Ashburton and Bovey Tracey).

“We would encourage people to book a place to come along to our Governing Body to find out all about healthcare in our area.

“We want to make sure patients are given the opportunity to take part in decisions about how local healthcare works and we want them to tell us about how services work now and what changes to services they feel would best meet their needs.”

The Eastern Locality will hold its next Board meeting at East Devon Business Centre, Heathpark Way, Honiton, EX14 1SF on Wednesday 22 May 2013, from 3pm–5pm.

Although the meeting will be held in public it is not a public meeting. Members of the public are invited to listen to the Board’s discussions, observe the decision-making process and have the opportunity to ask questions related to issues discussed at the invitation of the chairman of the locality, Dr Jenner.

There are many ways people can get involved in healthcare and they are encouraged to visit the CCG website at www.newdevonccg.nhs.uk to find out more.

To book a place at the meeting, contact hannah.tapp@nhs.net or 01392 356 097.
