Launching on 19th May and running for six weeks, Princesshay will host 10 turfed animal sculptures inspired by some of the world’s most recognisable wildlife, including a lion, giraffe, gorilla, rhino and zebra which will be spread across nine locations in the centre.

Go Wild has been created in partnership with Paignton Zoo and the Deaf Academy, so that the trail can combine play with education and accessibility.

At each stop, visitors will be able to uncover fascinating facts provided by Paignton Zoo, including animal behaviours, habitat information and conservation stories.

Visitors will also be able to learn how to sign each animal in British Sign Language (BSL) through a series of short videos created by our charity partner the Deaf Academy, accessed by scanning QR codes throughout the trail.

As part of the trail, visitors can also take part in a free challenge by collecting hidden letters at each animal stop to reveal a secret word and enter a competition to win a Devon’s Top Attractions Golden Ticket.

During May half term, Princesshay will also host a series of free animal-themed walkabout performances from 26th–29th May, including kangaroo stilt walkers, Birds of Paradise performers, butterflies and roaming characters appearing throughout the centre each day.
