Exeter Chiefs officials have spoken of their delight at the local support being shown for this season's LV= Cup Final, which is to be staged at Sandy Park in the New Year.

For the first time ever, the prestigious Anglo-Welsh competition is heading west for it's grand final, which will take place on Sunday, March 16 (3pm).

And whilst the finalists will not be known until nearer the fixture itself, it has not stopped supporters from across the region snapping up tickets at such an early stage.

Already the Sandy Park Corporate Boxes and the West Grandstand have already sold out, whilst tickets for the SW Comms Stand and North Terrace have also been flying out the door with over 50 per cent sold in both areas.

Equally the ever-popular East Terrace has seen brisk pre-game sales already and just this week an additional 100 tickets have been made available for those supporters keen to be part of the Exeter's award-winning, match-day experience.

John Wood, Head of Corporate for the Chiefs, said: "As a club we've been delighted with the uptake of ticket sales already made by local supporters, many of them who are fans of the Chiefs.

"Having a prestigious final like the LV= Cup come to Exeter is huge in what we know is a rugby-mad region. Not only is it highlighting the great match-day experience we have here at Exeter, but it's also bringing a top notch competition, full of rising stars within the game, to our doorstep at an affordable price."

Tickets for the game are available by clicking on the LV= Cup Final tab located on the official Exeter Chiefs website.
