Exeter sound artist, Simon Belshaw, has created an ainstallation that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. It will be installed in St Thomas Library from Tuesday 16th July for a period of two weeks.

The piece uses Neil Armstrong's famous "That's one small step for man one giant lepa for mankind" speech that he made as he stepped onto the surface of the moon for the first time. The work is encased in a display box similar tothe type you woyuld find in a museum.

The piece was funded using Kickstarter and has been built over the past couple of weeks.

On July 16 there will be a launch and talk about the project in St Thomas Library from 18.30 - 19.30 (entry is free) the work will then remain in the library and will be accessible for a period of two weeks during library opening hours.
