Pets at Home Exeter is holding a workshop to provide pet owners with top tips on how to protect their pets in the sun and heat this summer.

The event is taking place on Saturday (26 July) at the Pets at Home store, Rydon Lane, Exeter between 1pm and 2pm.

During the workshops Exeter colleagues will cover a range of topics such as walking pets in the heat and keeping them hydrated, plus provide safety measures for travelling with their furry friends during the summer months.

Dave Lidster, store manager, said: “As the weather heats up some independent animals, like cats, will naturally find their own cool, shady spots when they get too hot, whereas others like dogs and rabbits aren’t so proactive.

“This workshop will give pet owners information on the extra measures they need to take, in order to keep pets healthy and safe, so that they can enjoy the summer together.”
