Drugs arrests following Axminster death

Officers investigating the unexplained death of a woman in Axminster have arrested and bailed three people in connection with drugs supply offences.

Police were called to an address in Millwey Avenue on 5th December by the ambulance service.

Ambulance crews had to take a 40-year-old woman to the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital, but staff were unable to resuscitate her and she died later that day.

Police investigating are treating the death as unexplained, but will prepare a file for the coroner in due course.

Following further enquiries on 11th December two people were arrested and on 19th December a third person was arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs.

All three are due to answer bail in the New Year.
