Discover local creative talent at Escot’s Autumn craft fair
Escot House will once again play host to a celebration of creativity this October, as the Artisans at Escot Autumn Fair returns with a handpicked line-up of talented makers from across the region.
Around 30 makers will be showcasing everything from textiles, glass and jewellery to pottery, original artwork and tempting treats including small-batch rum and artisan chocolate: there’s something for everyone.
With Christmas just around the corner, it’s the perfect place to discover unusual, one-of-a-kind gifts not available on the high street.
Organiser Gill Melly of Silver Ripples Jewellery said: ““Last year’s fair was such a wonderful success – the atmosphere was buzzing all day. This event is a superb opportunity for local makers to share their creativity, and for visitors to support small creative businesses while finding something truly special.”
Refreshments will be available to buy, prepared by Escot’s in-house catering team. Visitors can expect homemade cakes, biscuits, savoury snacks plus teas and coffees. The bar will also be open for a variety of alcoholic and soft drinks.
Families may like to add on a visit to wildlife park Wildwood, with its pretty woodland paths, adventure play and resident animals including wolves and bears. Closing time is 5pm and last entry at 4pm.
The Artisans at Escot Autumn Fair takes place on Saturday 11 October, 10am to 4pm at Escot House, Escot Estate (EX11 1LU). Entry and parking are free. Please note, access is via stairs and is not suitable for wheelchair users.
