Defining your digital strategy will be one of a number of informative talks at a unique business event in Exeter later this month.

As well as workshops and a wide range of exhibitors, a whole day of seminars is also lined up.

And among the speakers will be Ian Creek from Exeter-based Rokk Media, an experienced digital marketer with a track record for growing websites.

The b2b@SandyPark event is being staged at the home of the Exeter Chiefs on Thursday October 17.

Ian, who is Rokk Media's marketing director, has worked with big brands like HSBC, Sage, Dell and Microsoft, but his real passion is for working with innovative growing businesses.

He is currently a guest blogger on Econsultancy.com and expert reviewer for a number of digital marketing guides.

In 2010 he started a global trending topic on Twitter with the help of Duncan Bannatyne known as #duncansdream (his one and a half days of fame).

Other speakers also lined up will include the rugby club’s head coach, Rob Baxter and the founder of The Exeter Daily, Marc Astley.

Bev Gratton of Sandy Park said: “Although there is a vibrant business community in Devon and lots of different events, we aren’t aware of anything as comprehensive or extensive as this.

"With more than 80 per cent of the space booked, we are really looking forward to our first b2b@SandyPark Exhibition, which will be open to everyone on the Exeter Chiefs mailing database.

"The day promises to be an interesting one with a wide variety of businesses exhibiting, some top class seminars, and even a few Chiefs thrown into the mix for good measure!” she explained.

“What we are offering is something quite different and something that we hope will become a regular fixture in the business calendar.”

Derek Phillips, vice chairman of Exeter Chamber of Commerce, said: “Sandy Park has been a tremendous asset to the business community, not only for Exeter but a much wider area. It is probably the best conference and meeting facilities in the South West.”
