Dartmoor Christmas Trees has once again been chosen to supply Downing Street with a Christmas tree this festive season.

Stuart & Jennie Kirkup have won Champion Grower twice, in 2016 and 2019, and as a result have been asked to supply the tree for outside number 10 this year.

In this year's competition, which is run by the British Christmas Tree Growers Association, Dartmoor Christmas Trees won the grower of the year as well as walking away with three other awards to include Best Natural Wreath, Runner up Best Other Fir (Fraser) and Best Nordman Fir.

Stuart, Jennie and their family who have been growing Christmas Trees in the heart of Dartmoor for nearly 20 years have won no less than 36 industry awards for their trees and wreaths.

Stuart attributes their success to their passion about what they do and the dedication to producing beautiful trees that are local and sustainable.

Stuart says, “This year has been a great year for the trees with a mixture of intense sunshine and showers, which has been great for growth".

Dartmoor Christmas Trees have worked in partnership with Forestry England at Haldon Forest in Exeter for many years and will once again open their retail centre there this year, where they boast a huge selection of real Christmas Trees. Whether you prefer the low drop Nordman fir or Fraser fir or the traditional smells and shape of the Norway spruce they can help you decide on your perfect Christmas Tree.

Dartmoor Christmas Trees can also be bought at Morrison Paignton & Totnes or choose and cut from the farm.
