Body found in search for missing Tiverton man

Police searching for Matthew Foot who went missing from Tiverton have found the body of a man in woodland at Rackenford.

Matthew was last seen at his home in Loxbeare on Thursday 3 July and police have been concerned for his welfare.

The body of a man was found at Rackenford by police at 11.50pm yesterday (Sunday 6 July). The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Formal identification has not yet taken place but Matthew’s family have been informed.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
