Dragon catches bus to Exeter Northcott Theatre for starring role in Christmas show Robin Hood

Fluffy the Dragon had been rehearsing with the Robin Hood cast at the city centre Barnfield Theatre, but needed to get to the Northcott Theatre, where the show will be staged this Christmas, for a dress rehearsal.

Fluffy had intended to fly to the Northcott, but Robin Hood director Daniel Buckroyd gave the dragon strict instructions to save their energy for the show. Fluffy had to find another way to travel to the Northcott.

Fortunately, Stagecoach runs a weekday university bus service up to every 20 minutes from Exeter city centre.*

Fluffy hopped onto the university bus to make this short journey. The dragon was also joined by a few members of the Robin Hood cast. Exeter’s favourite funny men Le Navet Bete sat at the back of the bus with the show’s squirrel stars Baron von Nutburger and Heidi A. Corn, reportedly to give Fluffy more space. However, backstage gossip suggests that the relationship between the dragon and squirrels has soured in recent weeks; the latter have been spotted throwing acorns at Fluffy’s head.

Fluffy enjoyed their bus journey to the Northcott and would encourage people who are coming to see Robin Hood this Christmas to consider using public transport to travel to its theatres.

Robin Hood runs at the Northcott Theatre from 9 December 2022 until 7 Jan 2023. Tickets for this show are available at www.exeternorthcott.co.uk
