Local charity Hospiscare is delighted to announce that for the second year running there will an Open Garden weekend held on 23rd and 24th September at the beautiful private home, Holcombe Court in Holcombe Rogus.

Holcombe Court is a Grade I Tudor manor house situated on the border of Devon and Somerset, and its seven-acre garden is rarely open to the public.

The 2016 weekend raised over £4,000 to support Pine Lodge Day Hospice in Tiverton and it is hoped the amount will be beaten this year. The funds raised will prove invaluable towards ensuring that Hospiscare can continue to provide high level care to Pine Lodge patients as well as providing much needed support to their friends and families.

Hospiscare would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in making this Open Gardens event so popular. Particular thanks go to Holcombe Court owner Mr. Nigel Wiggins and his staff for opening the garden, Hospiscare volunteers for their tireless work, and to the large numbers of the public who are welcome to view and enjoy these genuinely beautiful gardens.

“Open Gardens has long been a popular feature of the Hospiscare calendar,” said Community Fundraiser Susie Healey. “We are over the moon that this particular event at Holcombe Court is taking place again, this kind of support allows us to provide essential care to local people.”

The Open Gardens programme is once again kindly sponsored by Bernville Nurseries. For further details, visit www.hospiscare.co.uk or call Hospiscare on 01392 688020.

Hospiscare is a local charity, providing free, high quality care and support to people with a progressive life-limiting illness, and those close to them in Exeter, Mid and East Devon.
