Next Steps to Net Zero from EXIST

EXIST (Exeter Initiative for Science & Technology), the STEMM initiative from Exeter Chamber is hosting its first quarterly event of 2023 at the Barnfield Theatre on Thursday 2nd February 2023, from 8.30am – 11am. The Exeter Chamber subgroup is running a series of events throughout the year, focussing on the journey to Net Zero from a business perspective.

The first in the series of events, titled, Next Steps to Net Zero will offer practical solutions for businesses to achieve their Net Zero goals.

The event welcomes industry experts from across the city, including Professor Tim Dodwell, Co Founder of digiLab, Philip Cottingham, Associate Electrical Design Engineer of Hoare Lea, Jo Muncaster, Associate Director of Carbon Accounting, Johanna Mitchell and Liz Whinnett, Director and Senior Consultant at ClearLead Consulting, and Fraser Browning, Technical Evaluator in the Sustainability Team at University of Exeter.

Each of the speakers will be sharing their thoughts, knowledge and experience of practical carbon reduction solutions and applications to suit the business environment.

This event aims to provide information as well as practical solutions to help businesses to take their next steps to Net Zero. The Next Steps to Net Zero event will also be the perfect opportunity to network with the local business community and to gain valuable information to help drive business success. There will also be the opportunity to speak to team members of the IIB from the University of Exeter to find out about funding and grants available and how to apply.

The second event in the series will be held on Thursday 29th June 2023 and will focus on the circular economy.
