Slim Chickens opens new restaurant in Princesshay

Slim Chickens, the US-born chicken restaurant chain, opened a new restaurant in Princesshay, Exeter today (Thursday 17th December).

Slim Chickens brings Southern US hospitality to casual dining in Princesshay – their only location in Devon. The restaurant will serve hand-breaded chicken dishes using the freshest of ingredients for customers to enjoy in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant will also show live sports.

Slim Chickens will be operating in line with current government guidelines, and will be offering delivery via Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats alongside an online click and collect service.

To celebrate the restaurant opening, Slim Chickens is treating all diners to three free chicken tenders when they download the Slim Chickens’ app and make a minimum purchase spend of £2.95.

Slim Chickens is owned by a local franchisee and will be the 10th opening for the Slim Chickens brand in the UK.

Michelle Menezes, Princesshay Centre Manager, said: “We've been looking forward to welcoming Slim Chickens to Princesshay. Their Southern food offering will be something new for the centre and our visitors, and a great addition in time for festive dining. We would like to thank the Slim Chickens team, who have been working hard to open the restaurant to customers in a safe environment.”

Noah Wright, Slim Chickens Operations Manager said: “Everyone on the team is excited about our opening in Princesshay. This will be the only Slim Chickens in Devon, with the next closest restaurant in Bristol.

"We can’t wait to show visitors to Princesshay what true Southern US hospitality is, and we are confident they will love our signature buttermilk-marinated, hand-breaded and cooked-to-order premium chicken, alongside the rest of our menu.”
