John Lewis launches private label bath and body range

As we await the opening of Exeter's John Lewis store, it has announced that it will be launching its first range of private label bath and body products into the beauty department this Christmas. Available in four different fragrances, the range comprises hand creams, hand washes, body creams and shower gels.

The four fragrances - lavender and amber, pink pepper and orange blossom, bayleaf and wheatgrass, and verbena and green lemon, are blended together with luxurious skin moisturising ingredients. As well as offering quality everyday products, the second phase will also encompass premium candles, cosmetic bags and gift sets presented in beautiful coloured packaging, making them the perfect addition for the Christmas wishlist.

Amanda Scott, Head Buyer for beauty at John Lewis said ‘‘With the re-vamp of our flagship beauty department on Oxford Street earlier this year, we are keeping the momentum up by launching a new lifestyle range of private label beauty products. We have ensured the highest standards of quality to ensure this range complements our premium brand offer whilst providing a point of difference. We have used popular fragrances but also have experimented with some unusual blends. More to follow next year !'

Prices range from £4.50 for a bar of soap, £7.50 for hand cream, £9.50 for shower gel to £19.00 for a duo gift set of hand wash and lotion. The collection launches in-store and online at www.johnlewis.com from early October, with candles and soaps available from November.
