In what is sometimes a hectic world, the bathroom is one of the rare rooms in the home where you can simply close the door and escape your worries for a time. A great bathroom should feel luxurious yet comfortable, and one that is designed to be lived in. If your bathroom looks a bit tired and out-of-date, here are a few ideas that you can make straightaway to help revitalise it.

Sensor taps

Modern, easy to install and a little bit futuristic, sensor taps are the perfect way to make your bathroom to stylish and functional simultaneously. This type of touchless technology is seen in public sometimes, but the home can also benefit from sensor taps, especially if multiple people are living under the same roof. We all know the importance of hygiene nowadays, so a tap where you don't have to touch any handles to turn on or off is an absolute dream. Liquid soap dispensers could also work great near the tap, if you want to go the extra mile.

Chic towel hooks and toilet roll holders

They may seem like the most unexciting part about a home, but an elegant towel hook or rail goes a long way to establishing the right look for your overall bathroom design. Chrome, gold, copper, or even matt black, towel hooks come in all different colours, shapes, and sizes to fit different bathroom schemes. The idea is even quite hygienic, as you could have a different towel hung on its own towel hook for each family member. Once you starting browsing online, you'll probably find it hard to stop! The same can be said of toilet roll holders, as these can often be incredibly stylish if you know where to look properly.

Wallpaper

Who says a bathroom needs to be tiled or painted? Wallpaper give you the chance to have really fun and interesting designs, as your bathroom can be a place where your imagination runs wild compared to the rest of the home. Start looking at some amazing ideas and match one to your current bathroom scheme. The wallpaper should ideally match the furnishings such as vanity, towels, and any stools or chairs.

Underfloor heating

You might think that bath mats do just fine for your feet after getting out of the bath or shower, but you wouldn't think that if you've tried underfloor heating! Toasty and comfortable at all times, underfloor heating lets you walk around the bathroom barefoot and have a really luxurious feeling that is quite affordable. Want to be the neighbour that everyone is trying to keep up with? Install underfloor heating - you'll thank us when winter rolls around.

Toothbrush holder

Another hygienic and luxurious idea is toothbrush holders, as no toothbrush should be placed on or close to the basin due to the proximity of dirt and germs. A neat and tidy way to store toothbrushes, place these along the wall far out of reach of the basin. In a similar way to the towels, every family member should have their own for hygiene reasons.
