Stagecoach expands Smart ticketing across SW

Stagecoach South West confirmed today that it is expanding its smart ticketing scheme across the region.

From Monday (18th January), all Megarider tickets* bought on board Stagecoach South West buses will be stored on StagecoachSmart cards. Drivers will issue customers with a smartcard, which will store their ticket electronically, instead of using a paper ticket.

The expanded smart ticketing scheme offers customers a more convenient, simple and greener approach to buying and using their bus ticket.

As the school holidays start and the Christmas holidays get underway Exeter Airport is expecting to deal with over 20,000 passengers over the two week festive period.

Devon’s favourite multi-award-winning holiday park, Cofton Country Holidays near Starcross and Dawlish, is readying itself for the much anticipated reopening of its heated indoor Ashburn Springs Pool on Saturday 19th December.

New regional Exeter air routes welcomed

Aviation Minister Robert Goodwill has welcomed the new domestic routes that will start in 2016 from Newquay and Exeter airports.

The Chancellor announced in last week’s Spending Review that 11 successful bidders across the UK had been awarded support from the UK Government’s Regional Air Connectivity Fund. The new flights will offer fast journey times to Leeds-Bradford and Norwich.

A family-run holiday park has won a top accolade at one of the biggest tourism award ceremonies in the South West.

Ladram Bay Holiday Park has won a silver award in the Holiday Park and Holiday Village category of the Visit Devon Tourism Awards 2015.

Stagecoach launches new Gold Service

More than 40 guests including the Mayor of Exmouth and county and district councillors joined Stagecoach at Darts Farm last week to celebrate the launch of the Exmouth Gold route 57 service.
