The South West of England is home to some of Brits' ultimate “happy places”, according to a new study.

New research from SACO, The Serviced Apartment Company polled UK holidaymakers to discover the places in the UK which evoke special memories and ultimately make us “happy”.

Normal service will resume on the Okehampton Sunday Dartmoor Service this weekend.

Track speed restrictions between Coleford Junction and Okehampton have now been lifted, and GWR has confirmed that its Summer Sunday Service between Exeter and Okehampton, funded by Devon County Council, will return to the normal timetable from this Sunday (9 July).

To celebrate Greener Journeys fifth annual ‘Catch the Bus Week’, Stagecoach South West promoted taking the bus to a hundred Year 6 Torbay primary school children.

The bus company took Gary Rabbit, one of six ‘Golden Hop’ open top buses, to Eden Park Primary School in Brixham. Rail services on the Okehampton Sunday Dartmoor Service will continue to operate with a revised schedule until further notice.

Track speed restrictions remain in place between Coleford Junction and Okehampton, which requires the amended timetable.
